3CX Telephone System for Ranelagh Primary School

Ranelagh is a Primary School in Ipswich that has served the local community since it was founded in 1907. The school provides education for children in the area and is known for its supportive learning environment and strong community values.

Brief

Prior to their collaboration with Bytes, Ranelagh School were using an old analogue phone system throughout their site but were having troubles with receiving calls from parents and other external contacts. The school were in this position for quite a while as they were not receiving any help from their current supplier - this is where Bytes stepped in.

Our Solution

Ranelagh School came to Bytes for support with replacing their dated analogue system. To modernise their communications infrastructure, we implemented a cloud-hosted 3CX telephony solution tailored to the school’s operational needs.

The solution included:

Deployment of 19 handsets across the site, including one in each classroom
Full mobile coverage throughout the school campus
Mobile 3CX apps for the teachers, enabling them to make and receive calls away from their classrooms
Configuration of ‘Martin’s Law’ safety measure across all handsets

Whilst the school’s original system was not fully operational, Bytes supplied temporary mobiles to ensure all calls could be diverted successfully allowing the school to continue receiving contact from parents and external callers without disruption. In addition, during the install, we provided additional handsets beyond the original scope at no extra cost, as we recognise the financial pressure many schools are currently facing and demonstrating our commitment to supporting the education sector.

Summary

By implementing Bytes’ hosted telephony solution, Ranelagh School now benefit from reliable and seamless communication across the entire campus, as well as with parents and external contacts. Having previously experienced challenges with an unreliable supplier, the school was understandably cautious about transitioning to a new system. However, since partnering with Bytes, they have experienced a smooth and dependable telephony service with no ongoing issues.

The success of the project has already led to further discussions with our IT team regarding additional services and support. We are delighted to continue strengthening our relationship with Ranelagh School and look forward to developing our partnership in the future.
