How to Put a Call on Hold on a Yealink T46

This guide will show you how to place a caller on hold on your Yealink T46 handset using your Bytes Digital VoIP telephone system.

1. Ensure you are on an active call

Ensure that you’re currently on an active call with the person whom you wish to put on hold.


2. Press the hold soft key

Press the second from left soft key under the word ‘hold’. This automatically puts the current call on hold.


The caller will not be able to hear you, and will be played on-hold music and/or promotions.


To resume the call, press the same soft key

Press the second from left soft key under the word ‘resume’. This will resume the call and allow you to speak to the caller freely.
